So much has happened since my previous email.
This person you gave my lead to is crazy! We have gone for 2 walks in 2 days! The first day we walked from the house. We walked up this gravel road and everything was going well until I saw IT, a SEWER GRATE!
I!
WAS!
TERRIFIED!
Sandy was confused, I was adamant that I was not going one step closer! As I said in my previous email, Sandy is a little slow. I'd also like to add she is a little stubborn. She refused to let me stay 20 yards from the grate. You're not going to believe this but she actually went closer! I tried to convey the danger, bu... AND, she crouched down and wouldn't budge. She held my leash and gently and waited. And waited longer. And longer. Finally I gave in (did I mention she's a little slow?) I took a tentative step closer. And another.
Sandy finally stood up and we began walking. I kept the sewer grate at a safe distance, keeping a wary eye on it.. I didn't want that thing to open up and swallow me!
We walked up around a race track and watched horses running around in circles. We turned and headed back the way we came and then...
I SAW IT!!!
A MANHOLE COVER!
WHAT KIND OF PLACE HAVE YOU SENT ME TO STAY?
Sandy did not respect my warnings of danger and proceeded to walk me right past that cover!!
She didn't give me much choice so I had to keep going. I thought of you and that encouraged me to move on. We walked past a few more of the grates and the other dogs were okay with them so I played along and kept walking.
We got back to the house and I was exhausted! I spent the rest of the day resting and recovering from the trauma of the sewer covers. I heard Sandy took video of her putting me to bed. I hope you like it!
Today was pretty calm compared to yesterday's walk. We got up and put our leashes on and Sandy put us in the car. I was pretty excited, I thought maybe Sandy was taking me home. We turned into a park and she got everybody out of the car and said "with me". We walked for a long time! I know I've said it before, but that Sandy is slow! I'm sure we could have gone around the lake much faster if we had taken the car! It was a little chilly, but it was also a pretty day so Sandy took some pictures, I hope you liked them. I thought I was the prettiest.
Guess that's all for now, the little dog wants me to play with so I'll be a nice house guest and entertain the little monster. I hope you have a safe trip and enjoy your time away. I know I'm being a good girl, that is one thing that Sandy keeps telling me. She does get that right.
Love, sniffs and kisses,
Daisy
